Edington Arts Programme for 2025

This programme begins Edington Arts’ second decade.   They continue to provide excellent music for us to enjoy.   They start in March and continue to December with five varied musical experiences.   Come and join us if you can.

Saturday 8 March, 7.30pm
Sanctuary
The saxophonist Christian Forshaw, who has very distinctive sound that will echo through the eaves of the church, will be joined by Richard Pinel (organ, former Director of the Edington Music Festival), soprano Rosanna Wicks, and percussionist Ryan Hepburn (‘effects’ rather than drums.)   The programme will incorporate original compositions and arrangements deeply rooted in sacred melodies and the church choral tradition.   Edington Arts say this is ‘unmissable’.

End of the Spring School Term – First Sing
Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo
This is will be the climax of Edington Arts’ first vocal coaching project within Bratton and Great Cheverell Primary Schools.   They will be inviting us to come support them when they perform ‘Captain Noah’ at the end of the Spring school term.

Saturday 10 May, 7.30pm
A Night at the Opera
Four great operatic voices will come to present an evening of arias from the world of Opera.

Saturday 13 September, 9.30am to 4.30pm
Choral Workshop with Chris Bruerton
A dip into the King’s Singers’ Library, from Byrd to Chilcott, learning how that unique King’s Singers sound is made and how to hone our ensemble singing.
