We are delighted to announce that from 1 September 2025, Dr Annie Brooks is our new Chair. It was a bittersweet moment, however, taking the picture of our outgoing Chair – Patrick Thomas – handing on the baton.
Patrick has had a long association with Edington, the Festival and the Friends. Indeed the Friends would not be where we are today without his patience, attention to detail and general good humour when writing our new Constitution to become a CIO and getting approval from the Charities Commission. We had been warned it was an arduous process and that proved correct!
He hands the Chair to Annie with everything in place to go forward. Please help us support Annie and the Friends with their work to keep Edington Priory Church in good repair so that all who visit and worship there can enjoy the special place that it is.
